Four panels and one statue
The Power sculpture consists of a grouping of three wall sculptures and two free – standing ones. The left wall panel is about aggression and the abuse of power that a dictator, such as Adolph Hitler or Saddam Hussein used to justify the slaughter of large numbers of innocent people. The right wall panel is about nepotism and the power that a family of wealth and influence can exert in both politics and business. The center wall panel references the Mayan descending god and the Egyptian god of the dead, Anubis. Beneath this sculpture is a small one that represents those who are victims of the powerful. The free – standing sculpture that stands in the center, represents an artist on the front side. The serious artist lives on the edge of society and tends to see more clearly and think independently. The rear side of the sculpture features a number of heads. These are people who rarely bother to analyze or think very deeply about the information that is spewed out by the news media.
