The Old Ones (aggregate sculpture)

The Old Ones is a group of free-standing painted plywood sculptures that attempts to illustrate what time does to alter and transform. Being fascinated by stories of how some of the ancient and overgrown Mayan cities were discovered by Europeans in the 19th century, I imagined entering a forest of ancient pollarded trees, such as the Burnham Beeches in England, and coming to the realization that there was more there than just the trees.
