One of the themes in ‘Continual Measurement of the Days’ #2, concerns the destruction of a forest by cutting down its trees and using the cleared land to build upon. In due course the buildings, becoming outdated or structurally unsafe, are either demolished or fall down of their own accord. The resulting site, if left for long enough, will probably be reclaimed by the forest.
